John Mellencamp was a disappointment
I spoke to an usher who said the same about the concert on Friday night. At one point the guy behind us fell asleep. He started with "The Authority Song" and you figure it's off to a great start. If I ever even consider going to another concert I will read the reviews first and if I do decide to go - I'll scalp tickets. It was a storytelling concert with music from the show Deadwood, which I would not have minded, but I went to see AJJ and paid $150/ticket. Oh yeah, they didn't even have the large screens turned on to get a better view. I never heard so much complaining at a concert. But he didn't play "Pink House, Scarecrow or R-O-C-K" till the end of the last set and even those songs he slowed down. Seems to me the only reason for the concert was the fact he needed cash to pay off his ex-wife. I tried to sit back and relax and just enjoy the show but the people all around were complaining loudly. If you went with the hopes of rocking out - you were deeply disappointed.
